Born and raised in South Florida, Ciara Rae has begun to make her mark on the Nashville Music Scene.
Her early music training started with piano and voice, but shortly after expanded into the guitar and songwriting as well. Let’s just say, Ciara is a “triple threat” in Nashville as an accomplished singer, songwriter and musician.
Formally trained from BOTH the University of Miami’s (Florida) Frost School of Music for Jazz Vocals AS WELL AS the world renowned Belmont University’s Mike Curb School of Music for Songwriting and Music Business at Belmont University in Nashville. She is proficient in the country, blues, jazz, pop and classical genres.
Performances include: Summerfest Music Festival in Milwaukee, WI; Tortuga Music Festival in Fort Lauderdale, FL; The CMA Music Festival in Nashville, TN; Key West Songwriters Festival in Key West, FL; Frontier Cheyenne Days in Cheyenne, WY; and Loretta Lynn’s Motorcycles and Music Revival in Nashville, TN. Rae has also opened for Sheryl Crowe, Darius Rucker, Jana Kramer, Little Big Town and Lynyrd Skynyrd. She’s also released 10 songs and 1 EP. All of which she had a complete hand in production and composition of.
As far as philanthropy is concerned, part of Ms. Rae’s merchandise is sponsored by The Mocha Club and part of proceeds go to their Women At Risk program (which works to end the sex trafficking epidemic in Africa). She also has performed to support numerous charities in the United States over the past four years and has a working relationship with the Boys and Girls Clubs of America and the National Eating Disorders Association (NEDA).
Currently in the final stages of the new album to be released this year.
Ciara is also a very proud supporter of the National Eating Disorders Association, being someone who publicly talks about her struggle with Anorexia. She believes the more she brings awareness to the prevalence of eating disorders, the greater a chance we can bring a voice and face to a faceless disease.
